Please find our most frequently asked questions below. If your inquiry is not covered here then please don't hesitate to contact us.



1. Do I have to book my M.O.T test?

Yes, you will have to let us know in advance. If you plan to wait with your car and expect an approximate wait of between 35-45 minutes. However you are more than welcome to drop off the car with us for a few hours or even the day and we will give you a call when it is ready to pick up.

2. Do I have to book my service?

Yes, you will have to let us know in advance. As a service can take a good few hours, we recommend for people to drop off there cars with us. The best thing to do is to drop off your car with us in the morning and then pick it up later in the afternoon and this guarantees that we can complete it that day. If you bring it after lunch then we cannot guarantee it will be finished the same day. When your service is done we will give you a call to let you know.

3. What type of payments to you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards as well as payment in cash. We do not accept personal cheques over the bankers card limit which is generally £50 - £100 and stated on the back of the card.

4. If I leave my car with you over night, will it be safe?

Yes. All customer cars are placed inside the workshop overnight which is alarmed. All keys are kept in a secure place.

5. Do I need to bring my old M.O.T certificate with me?

Only if the certificate has not yet expired. We can add up to 30 days onto your new certificate which means if your M.O.T is still in date for up to 4 weeks, you wont loose those weeks if you have it done early. For example; if there is 2 weeks remaining and you want your M.O.T done, your new certificate would expire in 12 months and 2 weeks time.

6. Do the prices you quote include VAT?

Generally the prices quoted exclude VAT (Value Added Tax), so if it is not clear then please don't hesitate to ask and the price can be calculated for you with the VAT included. However, the M.O.T test fee is free from VAT.

7. How much does a full service cost including parts?

We generally say that a service is £90.00+VAT (labour) plus parts because until we find out the state of the existing parts it is difficult to quote. General parts which are involved in a service are; an oil & filter change (from £25), air filter change (from £12), spark plugs (from £12), pollen filter for newer cars (from £12). 8. Do you stock general car parts such as brake pads and how much would they be?

The only stock items we hold are general service items. In order to give you a quote for jobs such as brake pad replacement or other repair items, then we would have to take your car details and then contact our suppliers for a price for the parts. However, with can give you an estimate for the labour cost. Please note that if you wanted to bring your car in to do the work, we wouldn't order the parts before inspecting the vehicle.

9. If I had to leave my car with you for a few days, do you have any courtesy cars?

Yes we can provide a vehicle for you if you wish. All you would have to do is to notify your insurance company and pass on the vehicles details. You will also have to sign a courtesy car agreement with us.

10. If my car wont start, how can I get it to you & do you do a call out service?

If you are in the immediate area around us we may be able to come and take a look at your vehicle depending on the cause of the problem. Unfortunately if your vehicle needs to be taken to the workshop to use our technical equipment or to be put on a lift, we don't have the facilities to do so. You would have to arrange it to be towed here with a pick up truck company.
